I hate everything you said you’re not,
I hate the promises that you forgot.
You always said that you’d be there for me,
But just when I needed you most, I could finally see,
That you and your undying love,
Was something I was never any part of.

And so we went our separate ways,
But despite how hard I tried, my heart was set ablaze.
You and your lying, honest words,
In my ears, were something never to be heard.
“Oh, baby, please, I love you.”
Lie to me again, just tell me a few.

Make me feel like crap, every single day,
“Death is the simplest and easiest way,” you’d say,
Staring at every one of my scars,
Reminding me, loony’s are put behind bars.
But, you see, the funny thing is,
A bird can’t fly with only one wing.

So, come on, be a dear and assist this bird,
We both know that you want to be heard.
Fly, fly, and fly away with me, please,
I hate you, but I love you, don’t make me get on my knees.
This crazy bird you’ve grown hate to love,
Needs you and wants you to fly with her above.

We can spread our wide, broken wings,
And fly through the air as the wind still sings.
We can find a way to make our love last,
We can save ourselves, but we must be fast.
So come on, darling, come fly with me,
Come on, darling, I’ll help you see.
