Twice we wore our mourning clothes
Before we wore our graduation clothes

To young to be so familiar with death
To young to see friends take their last breath

But time did not ask if we were prepared
to let go of those for whom our hearts cared

So with pain in our hearts and tears in our eyes,
We are MHS, and we will rise

This is a poem I wrote after we lost two members of our graduating class during junior and senior year

That spelling error makes me cringe! With this poem I was focused on raw emotion more than formatting

It's alright. There's one spelling error, and clothes doesn't rhyme with clothes, but it's an alright poem, and it IS all about the heart in a poem, but despite this, I give the poem a 3.5/5. A four on the ratings.
