Oh, how humans are like leaves in a river
Flowing down the river of life
When they hit a snag, some will stay
And wither away
others will continue to drift away
yet even then they will decay
but still they drift away

I wrote this a long time ago, I submitted it and got it published in a book of poetry, but what really inspired me to write this poem wasn't getting in the book, but writing about my perspective.

Theres only one word to describe this (: beautiful. This poem has such a true and wonderful simile, I admire the tone to purity within it. Great job buddy!
