The 666 Life

A bloated parasite
masticating flesh rot:
pregnant with nameless death.

The growl of life-seizing
machines – hiss, shiver, un-
thinking (but knowing) death.

Carcasses on the win-
dowpane, heads that beat a
suicidal rhythm.

Hinging on the hope that
good did not die with fail-
ure. Whole disapproval.

Bees dutifully ga-
ther pollen, hum, drum, bass,
and drowned wings do not fly.

Dance in the magical
night – new world, mesmerized –
but rayed demons destroy.
