rebecca.

i once knew a girl,

thin with longing,

pale with pain.

tell me your secrets,

i’d whisper,

tell me them all.

the girl never spoke,

never cried,

never flinched.

i lived within her eyes.

they dripped ache,

gasped for air.

i want to save you,

i think i can save you,

let me save you.

my words are that of charm,

but my mind is one of choke.

at night we fall to the earth,

crashing beneath

the waves of oblivion,

unleashing thousands

of tiny soldiers

with insides painted

black.

at night we fall to the earth,

together.

alone.

i know i can save you.
