Hearts
Light and darkness
Truth and lies
Hope and fear
We are born with the ability
to listen and follow our hearts
Heroes and bad guys
both suffer consequences
we choose either the
good or the bad that's
found in our hearts.
Those who have hearts, as
black as the cinders
of a fire. Suffer consequences
from listening to the darkness in their hearts.
They can't feel the
warmth of the light
as it whispers the truth
They only hear silence
But with black hearts
full of lies,
how can they possibly
understand the truth
of hope instead of
listening to the fear
and nightmares that feed
on the darkness in their
hearts.
But how would they know
of warmth if no hero
is even rave enough
to show them what
all of our human hearts
are capable of feeling
as they were born to do.
How can us, the heroes
become bystanders
as we watch another
heart become black
and lose every hope
of ever seeing a single ray of light.
How do we save someone
from falling into the
deep, dark loneliness
of their minds?
