"Writers mean more than they say and say more than they mean." ~Mason Cooley

The world believes this angel is of perfection
When really the world is blinded by it's believed projection.
No where near is this angel to perfection
Closer the angel is,
to imperfection.

This angel,
Gazes into her reflection,
And questions
if there's beauty within her imperfections.

From the world,
No longer can the angel take
It's perception of perfection
Because its all so fake.
And thus,
this angel bends & breaks
And makes an escape.
And from grace
This
angel

falls.

This was all a mistake.

By the world,
The angel is worn & torn
As faster & faster
this angel falls.

Hard.

She hits the floor.

Hurled by the world,
She lays curled.

No longer will she soar
As she's broken even more.

No longer will this angel fly,
Because she lost sight of the sky.

The angel believes she might as well die.

Take caution,
As you approach the angel's side
Because it is you,
She'll try to fight,
At least one last time.

She'll put up a fight
When you tell her
All will be alright
And down the tears will begin to fall,
When toward you this angel begins to crawl.

Into her eyes,
You see your own reflection
&
Down to your knees you will fall
Because she too,
Is of imperfection.

You can no longer deny
the need to show her affection.

Toward the angel you reach.

You
Caress her cheek
And the harder she weeps.

You
Pull her into your embrace
And faster the tears
stream down her face.

You realize she is your missing connection
in a world of lies and deception.

Take care of this angel &
Don't ever let her go,
Because it is an imperfect angel you hold.

To this angel your heart is forever sold,
because of the imperfect angel you now hold.

Please,
Don't ever let this angel go.

Promise me,
It is love you'll forever show,
toward this imperfect angel
You'll forever hold and will never let go.
