Drugs and prescriptions,
Doses and medications,
Colors and capsules,
Infinite combinations-
Pills to calm anxieties
Pills to cease frustrations
Pills to rid depression
Pills to intensify sensations.
All the frequent appointments,
All the prescriptions I am taking-
But of all the pills, not a single one
Can mend a heart that’s breaking.
