Being a woman is a terribly difficult task, since it consist principally in dealing with men. -Joseph Conrad

HARLEM-1920's
The soul, the blues, the jazz, their muse
This is Harlem
Open eyes, they will find, life of little lies
Could it be Harlem?
Stolen times, records made, give me something I can claim
am I Harlem?
It is of greatness, life, success, and love
who is Harlem?
Give me something I can claim, something to hold
something to name
is it true, is it me, listen once, could it be?
Free
Me
I am Harlem.
