wolf’s luxurious fur
Her gentle orange gaze
blue and purple winds
reaching to me

Fear
a single sharp pang--
distant shapes moving
away, far away
Fear
hiding behind a barren
tree is a white tail
on a strong, confident
being, full of ferocity,
a stark beauty
A Protector
An Unknown

How I long to
