God Made an Angel

One day God made an angel.
And put her on earth for me.
He gave her a heart of gold,
A heart that needed no key.
The angel makes me laugh.
The angel taught me to love.
Every night I thank God,
For this woman from above.
The angel holds my hand.
She holds my secrets too.
The angel wipes my tears.
And knows just what to do.
Just in case you haven’t guessed,
Mommy, this angel is you.
