And they sing of great heroes!

The passionate victors,

strong at arms, the invincible at heart

Not of the ordinary man

And they sing of great heroes

of their sanctified deeds, how

you and your 300, brave, bleeding, brutal

but not broken, like the shore to the sea,

held off numerous waves of Persian invaders.

The Great Walls of Sparta stand victorious.

Though the Spartan blade was sharp,

and the Aspis showed no signs of weakness,

alas, it seems the enemy has gotten the best of you.

You and your 300, though outnumbered, unyielding,

spirited, defiant, could never be conquered within.

And they sing of great heroes.
