I shouldn't let my guard down
Because
It seems that
Every time I do
I am used for target practice
For a knife thrower
Who has precision aiming
And each one that he throws
Oh so quickly
And effortlessly
Each one
Pierces my heart

It seems like this happens to me a lot. You would think no would learn by now. But it always happens so unexpectedly, and it hurts, if only he knew.
