Empty Booth

The door opens for me and
I
Slide into the only empty booth.
I tap my foot to the beat of hot coffee
And fast voices.
Four to a booth and mine is still empty
Except for my creaking feet
And the light overhead my booth is flickering
My shaking hand spills white on a
Fresh, clean table.
