I HATE POETRY!
Poetry is so stupid,
What is the point of it?
It’s confusing to read,
It’s also hard to understand.
Everyone in my class doesn’t like poetry,
So why have it?
Poems are stupid,
With their rhyming.
I mean,
I’ve read words I’ve NEVER heard of.
I’m so mad!
I sent seven poems into the writing contest and none of them placed!
I mean,
Why didn’t they?
I’m so upset!
But wait,
I’m writing a poem about how much I hate poems.
Now I understand.
Poetry is my escape from the world,
Something I can pour my emotions into.
Some people punch walls,
Or do bad things.
But I turn to poetry.
I FINALLY understand Poetry.
