"You can beat or jail me or even kill me, but I am not going to be what you want me to be," ~Steve Biko from "Cry Freedom"

His fangs punctured into my neck.
What was supposed to be a longing kiss
Now turned into death
A tear strolled down my cheek

I am on the floor
When he starts to laugh
“You were once sweet innocent girl
But now pale to the bone.”

I cannot speak
I do not have any energy left
I lie helplessly on the ground
But then a voice I longed to hear

Arose from the creature
That was killing me
“My sweet, Katarina,
I told you not to fall in love with me.”

His voice then disappeared
The voice once knew was longer to be found
Only the evil that took him over
That evil killed me
I am only ghost
Yet I still long for his kiss
That was never placed on my lips
The vampire’s kiss was the death of me

I don't know why I wrote this poem. I was in Algebra class and I started to draw a vampire's eyes and fangs and came up with the first stanza of the poem. So, I hope you like it.
