Hope and Trust

What happens when our dreams are lost,
Amid the waves of fear?
What happens when to pay the cost,
We lose what we hold near?

That’s when we cling to hope and trust,
That’s when we do what’s right;
‘Cause cling we will, and cling we must,
To get through the dark night

It's so nice to see a short poem again. Only the necessary words are used, which is a refreshing change to the longer poems I see here. Just long enough to make it beautiful. My only comment is think about changing the word, 'Cause, to For. P.S. Comment on my poems!
