The Fog

The fog blocks view,
Muffles voices,
Hides the hidden,
Shrivels light,
It hides the truth,
Its unfocused glare,
Looking right at you,
Everywhere you go,
You are lost in fog,
The sun melts it away,
The sudden light dilating your eyes,
Making you forget until next morning,
That soon,
The area will be covered,
With the damp fog,
That hangs in the air,
Never failing to cover the land,
Leaving us wet and cold,
In the eyes of a liar.
