"It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him." J.R.R. Tolkien

You like your ladies
made of plastic
hot wax that's
melted into a disproportional form
nothing well-worn,
nothing lived in.
You like your ladies
thin and prim
and empty within,
a shallow existence
empty of persistence.
You like your ladies
pristine, clean of
any intelligent
thought, so
incompetent she
couldn't be anything
but innocuous but
really shes anything
but that on top of it.
You like your ladies
easy-peesy
lemon-squeezy
anything-i-please
so-long-as-it
feels-good-im-gone.
You like your ladies
conventionally beautiful,
conventionally pretentious,
a barbie doll exemplified,
personified and personalized,
all just for you.
You like your ladies
fake and half baked
so that with one shake
of her hips
you forgot about
me.

First dentistry was painless.
Then bicycles were chainless,
Carriages were horseless,
And many laws enforceless.

Next cookery was fireless,
Telegraphy was wireless,
Cigars were nicotineless,
And coffee caffeineless.

Soon oranges were seedless,
The putting green was weedless,
The college boy was hatless,
The proper diet fatless.

New motor roads are dustless,
The latest steel is rustless,
Our tennis courts are sodless,
Our new religion — godless.

yup, totally agree with Candlelightwriter. absolutely wonderful!

"Secretly we're all a little more absurd than we make ourselves out to be"-- J.K. Rowling.

Bravo. *starts the slow clap* Bravo. I feel like this is the spoken word you were referring to? Find a poetry slam and present this, woman!
