Stories Untold

Forlorn eyes and a
sweet, sorrow smile,

The kind that make you
forget the world for a while.

A crumpled shadow
and an earnest stare,

In hope that someone
will lend a prayer.

Waiting alone
in the dark and cold,

Taken for granted
all the stories untold.

An innocent, young fantasy
and a stifled scream,

The world drifts away
as we forget to live our dream.
