i’ve seen the ocean swell
blue stretches to blue
a cerulean peak
before returning to dust.
i’ve seen you swell
you rise up to the heavens
i swear you came from.
before returning to me
earthly me.
i’ve swelled
but only in time with you
your presence lifts me
and your absence returns me
to the gravel from whence i came
stay with me please
all i want to do is swell.
