She can because she thinks she can.

Take me as I am
Or not at all
You think you’re so tall
But you’re about to fall.
You pushed me into the dark
So you could stand in the light
Did you think that was alright?
Stop smiling, stop breathing
Just crawl into your hole and rot.
Rot until your fingers bleed out
Claw away at the hearts that you break
You’re not afraid to take what you need
But you don’t like what you get
Everything has a consequence.
Scream, scream and shout
But I won’t let you out.
Now you’re entrapped
Engulfed by the fires of pain and hate
Some say it is fate
But you made your choice and now it’s too late
You thought of me as soft
Like a bridge you could walk all over?
Well think again because you might just kill over.
Thud. Thud.. thud… thud _____
Flat line
Just with no good bye

This was a poem I had written last year when my best friend and I got into a huge fight. My teacher had us do a Lucid writing exercise in class and this was all I could think about. Needless to say we are no longer friends. Funny story about this poem, I was texting my friend over the summer and we were debating whether or not poetry was cool or not. I brought up the fact that most songs started out as poems. He still wouldn't agree with me so i texted this poem to him and he thought I was calling him out like a rapper would in their songs. I sent him this poem because the first seven lines started out as a song but then the rest worked out better as a poem. Sometimes I think he thinks I actually wrote this about him...but I didn't lol. He's a great friend and I would never want to lose him like I did with the person this poem is actually about.
