"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life's realities."- Dr. Seuss

I miss the year I believed in everything,
And I thought I could finally be happy,
But a year's only so long.

I miss the months when daybreaks and sunsets
Were practically the same thing-
At least, in our eyes.

I miss the weeks I would lie on my back,
On the dewy grass carpet,
And look at the stars.

I miss the days we would talk on the staircase
And pretend that life wasn't as awful as it seemed
Even if it was.

I miss the hours we would spend listening to music,
Critiquing and not knowing anything,
Acting like connoisseurs.

I miss the minutes I spent hovering over the unknown-
My blind optimism ruling, sightless
Until my view was split.

I miss the seconds that were made for me
I'd do something absolutely spontaneous,
And completely irrational.

I miss that one millisecond it took
For me to realize
I was in love.

I miss the moments when time slowed down,
When my world stopped revolving
And everything rewound.

And I'd miss the seconds
And the minutes
And the hours
And the days
And the weeks
And the months
And the years

And all of the times that I had the chance
To tell anyone in the world the truth,
But I didn't.

And I would sit and miss you,
Because you were the only reason that
Time meant anything.

I guess everything can be taken a billion different ways, and to me, this one especially. You could mold it into any situation- and that's what I love about it!
