“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island of opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land; there is no other life but this.”
― Henry David Thoreau

Society wraps a Turban around our heads
Tight, loose, thick, sheer—
Evidently it depends

A silk fabric or a wool rag weighs us down
Minds to be had
Are not to be Found

But to say, “No, you cannot hide me—“
Why only then
Can you Free yourself to be Seen

Life isn't measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments which take your breath away.

You are only as strong as your weakest link.

Great work! And I think you're absolutely right, we should not just accept how society restricts us.
