The Whirl

When days were young,
There was laughter around,
Carefree days,
Not a worry in mind!
Playing about,
Laughing our hearts out,
Inventing games and sharing n caring,
Things n thoughts,
Hand in hand,
Together we walked.
In the quick whirl of life those times faded,
Now carefree is not a word,
Worry a constant pain,
Sober expressions,
Laughter died,
Games expired,
Sharing is what?!
Thoughts tarnished,
Confined in a shell,
Like a rat in a bottle;
No greetings,
No waves,
But there was a goodbye!
