Daring

“Wait!”

They say,


“Just wait.”
As I try to aim as high as
I can
Before reaching
The pearly gates.


“Sprinting through


spring” They say,


“Will not fulfillment bring.”
As I fly by,
Trying (in vain)
To touch the sky.

“Just go a little

slower,” They say.

They say!

Yet I keep going anyway.
