The people killed from you,
still wear that Dresden doll jacket,
the stress in that jacket,
flies endlessly there.
Hoping the bombs fall there,
hoping you make it back.
The fear in their eyes,
as you drop those bombs.

You like to think it’s just,
another mission,
but its more than that,
it’s for the greater good.
All those Nazis killed,
those thirty nine missions.
The lives taken from that bomb,
the stress because that.
The lives saved in,
the time in the air in,
That Dresden Doll Jacket.
You pray every day;
Just to land one last time,
In that jacket.

I've always wanted a jacket like that. WIth the history stitched into the sleeves. Just like you said.

Where there is desire, there is gonna be a flame,
Where there is a flame someone's bound to get burned.
Just because it burns doesn't mean you're gonna die,
You've got to get up and try.

Very insightful topic I love it. Can't wait to read more you write!
