Beauty is all I know,

destruction I can only imagine.
Trees, grass, and glimmering water,

blind to harsh waves and destructive winds.
Where I live and how I was raised,

every problem seems so distant, so unreal.
The use of my car, my laptop, my phone,

most things I take for granted.
The freedom to date, to find my own love,

denied to others?
