A fairly small collection of poorly written poetry

Over the ridge
We all see our fate,
Cloaked in light
Bright as day.
You never know what you'll see
Over that ridge
Won't you come with me?
Come at dark
And you will find
What you could have been.
Shrouded in night
It's clearer than
What some would call
The original sin.
Don't go to it
Or your soul will give all
Crushing your heart
Bit by bit.
Is to see to know?
I should hope so,
If I wasn't so blind so soon.

The essence that fills us
Is just the one that kills us.
Guided by the human creed,
Full of death and greed.
Molded by the light
That puts up a weak fight
To the darkness everlasting,
Around us all, as the light fades.

Into the darkness
Out of the light
Look back in wonder
At when you were bright
Now a symbol of failure
Is what you've become.
The whole world hates you
So why think you've won?

Hope is all we have,
Even though it's the same.
Same as all things up and right,
They turn out to be fake.
Can't keep pushing,
Can't go back.
Stuck in the place
Between light and darkness
Given the sword of light
Sheathed in shadow.
The light is null, try as I might.
Plead with it, and it turns cold.
Fight with it, and you uselessly grow old.

Up through Hell
And out through the ashes,
The shell of the world
All in the hands
Of those well damned
To cause the ashes to fall.
They heat Hell,
And thus it expands
As our ashes feed its fires.
Hell's patch of hope
Eats our flames,
Fatter and fatter,
Yet further away.

When light has left
Shadow is the day
Cooling us with all the gray.
The gray we never know,
The gray we could've kept,
Had the darkness not seduced gray with its death.
The gray that taints our souls,
Turns to that which makes us whole,
Just as metal breaks our skulls.

Up, down, left, right.
This is told to all
By the light.
Yet go forward
And you will see
Humanity is lost, as are we.
Is darkness the answer?
We'll never know.
Just keep pushing forward
And hope.

Death is a door
Death is a bright
Death is the light
That wakes you from the night
The servant of darkness
Encasing the swords
Wielded by one
To slash the light
Impossibly bright
A mission by darkness
To befriend the light
Because in the end
Aren't they one?

Look down through your soul
And see it's but a black hole
To steal all the light and fade away.
It's always light in the world
Without a brain.
If only life were worth living,
Even for a day.
Life without knowledge
Is life without a care,
Life without a reason
To find what's out there.
In there, though,
Is quite another thing
A much grander riddle
Than the universe could bring.

Wow, I am truly amazed and speechless. So much emotion drained into very eloquently gathered words. I love your poetry, its beautiful, just like your mind =) The "light from your lamp" has certainly lit up my world n  made it slightly brighter, amazing talent, don't let it go to waste ;)
