Mystic Moon
At midnight in the month of June, I stand beneath the mystic moon
Gazing upon it with a watchful eye
I can feel something in the air is not quite right.
I listened quietly into the night
Only to hear a sound of terrifying fright
A howl so loud and so, so near
I was too young to die out here.
I took off into the night, though I felt something nearby
I ran oh how I ran, but my dark pursuer could not have been a man.
For my pursuer was at my heels, snapping and biting as if I was its next meal
Then there was quick flash of silver, then a sudden yip
I turned around to see my pursuer in a heap
Curiously I went up to see, who or what has been following me
A gasp from my throat upon my discovery
It was a wolf oh what a mystery!
Suddenly a light engulfed him
Next thing I know he is gone and a man is in his space
What in the world is happening in this place?
The man stands with a wolfish grin
His golden eyes catch the light with glance
He then proclaims “Here’s my chance.”
Startled at this act, I don’t know how to react
The man then protrudes a rose of ivory red
Confused by this spectral, I look at it strangely
When I look up he’s gone again how dandy
Now I stand there more confused than ever
Then I wake up to see that all that happened never
