Love Kills Slowly By: Ed Hardy

A fire grows higher.
I'm yearning while burning.
My words are mistaken and a heart wrongfully taken.
As Death comes to Haunt me, I tell her I'm sorry.
Let it keep rising and listen to Death sing.
I didn't know the penalty or that he'd come after me.
I hug her tight in this still night.
It's time to leave, these words I weave.
We're engulfed in the fire and we have a common desire.
We welcome Death as we make our final breath.

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem due to a dream. In this dream I was in a giant burning house and was with a girl and as it goes on I meet Death and he was angry with me for causing someone elses death. So as punishment I was to die burning in that house with the person I loved.
