Cold wind whispering
Bright fiery trees
This is fall.
Soft and sweet
Geese flying away
Squirrels curling up
This is fall.
Beautiful time
Clearest colors
Tinkling music
This is fall.
Saddest time
Dying year
Drifting leaves
This is fall.
Bravest time
This is the grace before winter.
This is the deep breath before the plunge.
This is the year dying
Fighting on her feet
This is fall.
