they all told her
knowingly seeing the obvious
becoming whispers in her head
she picked them
because they were her opposite
just what she wished she was
but they hurt her in the end
so many tears she wasted
on those that didn't deserve them
but this one was different
good and kind
so she tried
tried to change her own perspective
tried to make it work
but it couldn't
with them there was so much heartache true
still there was also so much passion
but now she didn't feel any of that
she didn't feel anything
but trapped
