Goodbye Romeo

Romeo,

Sweet Romeo
Won’t you lay a kiss upon thy lips?
Or has trouble befallen you?
So that it is my heart you instead rip?
Mend it my sweet Romeo
Where there is still time
I wait with my hand to my heart
Our love on the line
But you must not be one for romance
Or the fable I enjoy
I stand alone upon that balcony
With a plan I can’t deploy
So sweet Romeo
I release to you my finest words of all
Their poetic rhyme captures your essence
To your ears they might appall
So I say with no disdain
No regrets
Or misgivings
Your love is to blame
For this curse I hold while living

-Yours truly, Juliet
