Night falls on the suburbs
But a little cove remains
Hidden
An ambassador between the earth and moon
Streams of moonlight decorate the lake contained within
In a secret alliance between nature and space

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this while looking into my back yard. In my back yard is a lake, and beyond that is a forest. I went outside into the night and saw the beautiful streams of moonlight reflected on the water. I thought about how much I had ignored the beauty residing so close to me.
