Rain
I’m so lonely
I think I could burst
My heart aches
The butterflies inside my chest screaming
Giant monsters tearing at my flesh
Cold metal lying across my bare skin
The pain
The cold hard pain
Rain pours down
I cannot stop the rush
I cannot stay the flood
Red dances before my eyes
Spots of red inside the haze
But the pain does not stop
The tears roll down my skin
The salty tang filling my mouth
Laughter echoes in my ears
I do not see them
I do not see the tormentors
They do not understand
What it is like to bear the weight of the rains
They do not know how to cease the flow of the raging waterfalls
Mighty and powerful
The strain too much to bear
I rub my face
Stained with rain
I cannot think
I cannot see
All there is, is pain
The rain keeps pouring
The halls are silent
As my silent footsteps crawl past
None can hear my plea
My desperate cry
Red
Red dances before my eyes
Taking over my body
The rain won’t stop
It keeps falling, falling, falling
White-hot pain burning across my throat
I cannot speak
I cannot breathe
My eyes roll up into my head
Visions of the sky
The water
As the pain passes on
And the rain slowly fades away
I’m so lonely
I think I could burst
My heart aches
The butterflies inside my chest screaming
Giant monsters tearing at my flesh
Cold metal lying across my bare skin
The pain
The cold hard pain
Rain pours down
