Tomorrows
You always said tomorrow,
hoping there would be one.
You never imagined
life could be taken away
so quickly.
So unexpectedly.
I wish
your “tomorrows”
would be here,
and you were still here
to live them.
You would
Live for the Lord,
like you always have.
Christmas shop
all year long.
Read until falling asleep.
Living a life
of selflessness,
never thinking of yourself,
but for the greater good.
Now you’re not here,
and your “tomorrows”
that you lived for,
will never be lived.
