Sister MAG
she slowly disappears
her body a
warzone
slowly losing sustenance
and shape. she hisses
like a steam engine
and putters, pushing plates
away shrinking
her height.
nurses and doctors
fire cures and try
to make it stop
but she fights them
off her body sweat
glimmers and
she sinks into a
deep sleep.
and me looking, wondering,
where my sister
went, did she float away?
did she find somewhere better?
and then finally
the flag is raised, dressed
in white and finished
she is pulled
back and her
blonde hair circles
around the
crown of her head
as she is
returned back home
weightless.
