Small

Oceans spanning beach to beach
their only goal a traveler to defeat

washing, rolling, twisting, turning
roaring, stirring, killing, burning

Burning buildings touching the skies
flames who won’t stop until something dies

roiling, churning, learning, growing
scorching, hoarding, ravaging, blowing

Blowing wind, who varies by day
But never too long do the winds like to stay

running, rustling, ruffling, riveting
chilling, cheating, chafing, traveling.

The earth moves ‘round, over and over, it’s a wonder we aren’t falling down
So large in our eyes but so small in space, we aren’t the largest around.
So water and fire and wind and earth are surely wondrous and strange,
but imagine what else may happen, so very far away.
