When you acknowledge there is nothing repulsive or unforgivable or shameful about yourself, it becomes easier the be that authentic person and feel like you're living a less performed life.
-John Green

I try to focus in on my new life,
When I find a clear shot,
Nostalgia blurs the picture.
Moments in time frozen in my head,
Each capturing a warm
Smile upon your face.
The memories begin to play,
Melted by the heat in my heart.
A recollection of thoughts of you
Begin to scatter, spread,
Fill my mind.
Remembrance of you and and me
Makes me scream in agony
At the question "Why?"
But it stops just shy of
Sheer havoc, because
I already know the answer,
Even though it isn't a
Pleasant one.
