I saw me the other day in Earth’s body,
It was quite a sight to see.
I was shoddy, for once I was complete.
There’s a calm of knowing one, while at the same time being so discreet.
And yet a sadness was detected as my sort of defeat(my sort softly sorted).
Amid mid thought, I could see me changing color by her affect.
She was taking me over like winter does to fall,
As love does to us all.
After a crack is seen standing tall.
O yes I was small. She carefully crafted my shape.
It wasn’t a mistake.
It’s God message to mother nature.
Deemed a vague disappearance of her,
I put two-thirds of my happiness in, but only to have a fraction of what we were.
But I attempt to remain erect, as my colors change.
From green to brown.
This sadness digs into my roots.
The cold air stirs, and a wave of nostalgia loots.
Taking my smile a way from me like she took us a way from us.
On the edge of the cusp, I laid flat to be impaled.
I searched along the ground to see what was left.
But the aftermath was nothing but dead grass.
I saw myself alas…
And I was nothing but dead grass…
