When Death Faced Me
There was a whisper and I turned around to face death.
And he told me it was time to go.
As I held my hand out and took one last slow breath.
Suddenly, pitch-black darkness when something startled me, and it happened to be a black crow.
And he told me it was time to go.
I followed the crow to a stream with a lot of evergreen and dove right in, but for I did not know how to swim.
