Hush little angel,
rest your head,
upon your pillow,
where those tears have been shed.
Quiet your sobs,
soothe your soul,
and heal your heart,
until again it is whole.
Be lulled to sleep
by my gentle caress,
and dream of lovely things
to end your distress.
Awake in the morning
to the sun's friendly light,
and be happy that you killed
those demons of the night.
Come to me and marvel
at the beauty of your dreams,
and realize, with a smile,
the dark is never as it seems.
