I am haunted.
Haunted by fear’s sardonic smile,
and by delirium’s malevolent gaze.
I am forever frightened of rumor’s omniscient ears,
and slander’s efficacious lips.
Escape is impossible.
Their parasitic motives are already burrowed into my mind.
destroying from within.
Haunting me with a face of debilitation.
