Hooks

We all got problems.
Got our thunder, rain.
Hell,
Everything to lose,
Nothing to gain.
Tied ankles,
Weighted chains.
Wrists chafing,
Metal strained.

We all got problems.
Our gloom, our dark.
When feelings are gone,
Black seems stark.
They took us,
They hooked us.
We fed those sharks.
We ate their words,
They ate our hearts.

We all got secrets.
We all got problems.
But I'll break this chain,
And I'll go solve them.
I'll snap these links,
And I'll blind this dark.
I'll set my hook,
And I'll fish for sharks.
