Rain crashes against the house with vengeance,

Drowning all signs of life, yet...rebirth,

Lightning clashes with Earth,

Lighting up the sky with brief flashes of hatred,

Thunder, a cornered animal, snarls,

Making my heart pound in exhilaration,

Thousands of lost, tortured souls

moan, scream, and howl in the wind,

Clawing at any unfortunate mortals,

clawing at their very souls,

I watch the Gods fury,

a pounding excitement in my heart,

Watching each flash,

hearing every BOOM! and WHOOSH!

From the safe, warm prison of my house.
