We live and we die
We laugh and we cry
But through it all no matter what we did
We have always given life our best try
Without you my heart is confused
My mind goes numb and I feel like a fool
So I have nothing to do but try and find you
So when I'm finally with you there's no stopping me
My heart is driven with love because you make me crazy
I never want to see you cry again
I want all of your hardships to end
So I swear I'll protect you
Even after I've fallen

The author's comments:
Since middle school I have always been in love with my best friend who I've known since fourth grade. And she has loved me back. She has been through so much. Since we've both went to high school I never see her anymore, but I want to be there to protect her. I live my life so that I can protect all of my friends, especially her. And when I die if there is such thing as an afterlife, I want to be her guardian angel and protect her from everything that causes her pain.
