Dear, you.
The person I supposedly knew.
Then again, you were always a mystery.
But that’s all just forgotten history.
But to me, it’s the present.
I remember how you made me feel like such a peasant.
Bowing down to such a king.
But all you did was sting.
I’m not one to judge
I’m sure you had your reasons, so I won’t hold a grudge.
But you should just know
You left me in the snow
And it froze my heart
Tearing it apart
You left me there
Without a single care
Without so much as a single bone
As much as I resent you
I love you
But I guess you really wouldn’t understand
You’ve never been hurt without another helping hand
Another person to share your pain
But wait, you never had pain. Only gain.
Where am I going?
Wherever the wind is blowing.
Away from here
Away from the fear
The tears
The hurt
The snap
And towards the stitching of a new heart.
Away from you
