Gossamer On My Heart

It breaks
And then I patch it up
With a makeshift fabric
A thin, fragile thread
Nothing can hold
Or keep back
All the stress
And problems
Pushing
On the walls
Of my struggling, red heart
The one that keeps breaking Through the gossamer thread
The only attempts to hold it back
Are the ones that fail
