Summer dressed in purple haze
Kissed the golden sky
Night sings early, fades the day
Autumns waiting.... Turn the Wheel

Warm meets crisp as breezes blow
Drizzle raindrops fly
Seed pods burst and cast away
Summers dressed in purple haze

Gather women, Dance and Pray
Share harvest dreams so dear
Cast the circle, Raise the flame
Autumns waiting … Turn the wheel

Yellow, Brown, and Orange display
Give thanks for Life and Peace
Mother Earth must rest again
Summers dressed in purple haze

Summer lingers for a while
Whispers “Fare thee well”
“I’ll return to warm your days”
Autumns waiting …Turn the Wheel

Harvest sunshine kisses Earth
Quiet times now near
Summers left with purple haze
Autumns waiting… Turn the Wheel

The author's comments:
This was inspired from the falling of the leaves, and they way that the season changes so rapidly and slowly at the same time.
